Equations for estimating dispersion of Poisson, uniform and clumped types are provided. The existence and the estimation of common K is noted and assessed. Furthermore, the methods of estimation of following dispersion models and indices are given: Variance-mean ratio, Alexis index, Charlier index, models of David & Moore, Morisita, Taylor, Green, Cole, Lefkovitch, Lloyed, Iwao, and Pimbert & Jarry. Examples to use each of the above mentioned models and indices are provided. Criteria for choosing the best or perfect index or model are noted. Finally, the normal distribution and the necessity to transform data with different kinds of transformations are explained.
        Se describe la relevancia de la dispersión espacial como un requisito fundamental para el muestreo estadístico. Se definen y explican los diferentes tipos de dispersión espacial. Se proveen las ecuaciones para estimar la dispersión de tipo Poisson, uniforme, y agregada. Se nota y calcula la existencia de K. Además se presentan la manera de cuantificar el tipo de dispersión basad en varios modelo de uso común, Como por ejemplo: razón varianza-media, índice de Lexis, índice de Charlier, índice de David & Moore, modelo de Morisita, modelo de poder de Taylor, Modelo de Green, modelo de Cole, índice de Lefkovitch, índice de Lloyd, Modelo de Iwao, índice de Pimbert & Jarry Se presentan ejemplos para el cálculo de dispersión según cada uno de los modelos e índices anteriormente mencionados. Se presentan los criterios para seleccionar un índice perfecto. Finalmente, se discute la distribución normal y la necesidad de realizar y estimar el tipo de la transformación apropiada.
