Sumario:The article focuses on the launch of a program which aims to house newborn infants with inmate mothers through the collaboration of the West Virginia Division of Corrections' Central Office and Lakin Correctional Center (LCC). The Keeping Infant Development Successful (KIDS) program was established to provide a place for the incarcerated mothers to live with their children. Several challenges during the creation of the KIDS program are mentioned.
