Sumario:	The article presents literary criticism of the book "Historia de la nación chichimeca" by Fernando de Alva Ixtlilxochitl. Particular focus is given to the book's depiction of the Acolhua ruler Nezahualcoyotl. Details on Nezahualcoyotl's relationship with the god Tezcatlipoca are presented.
