| Sumario: | With the globalization and the researches carried out by European Council, speaking a foreign language became an essential point. It is clearly seen that communication role of a foreign language teaching has become gradually important. But speaking skills are the most difficult tasks for learners to develop. This study aims to reveal whether the learners are aware of the importance of speaking skills and whether they have some suggestions for speaking courses as well as to determine the principal inconvenience which prevents them from speaking the language. For this study, 40 French preparatory class students were chosen and interviewed. The registered interviews were transcribed through a text treatment programme. Then the answers were classified and it was noticed that the learners wanted especially to use dialogues more frequently and to participate in more ludic games and want the teacher to deal with them more individually. The majority of the students think that the factors which affect more their achivement in speaking are the fear of making mistakes, lack of self confidence and the lack of vocabulary. The error which was considered previously as an negativity in language learning teaching, it is assessed today with unimportant source on be half of the beterment of teachers. At the end of the study, some suggestions were given for a beter teaching of speaking skills. Avec la mondialisation et les travaux du Conseil de l'Europe, la communication orale en langue étrangère est devenue une notion primordiale. Nous voyons clairement que la place accordée à l'expression orale dans la didactique des langues étrangères augmente de jour en jour. Mais l'expression orale est la compétence dont les apprenants ont le plus de mal à développer. Dans cette étude, nous avons essayé de voir si les apprenants sont conscients de l'importance de cette compétence, s'ils ont des suggestions pour les cours d'expression orale et de déterminer selon les points de vue des apprenants les inconvénients principaux qui les empêchent de parler en langue étrangère. Pour cette étude, nous avons interviewé 40 étudiants de classe préparatoire de français d'une université. Les interviews enregistrés ont été transcrits par un programme de traitement de texte. Nous avons classifié leurs réponses et nous avons remarqué que les apprenants veulent surtout que les dialogues soient utilisés plus fréquemment, qu'il y ait plus d'activités ludiques et que l'enseignant puisse s'occuper d'eux individuellement. La majorité des étudiants pensent que les facteurs qui influencent le plus leur réussite en expression orale sont; la peur de faire des erreurs, l'inconfiance en soi et le manque de vocabulaire. A la fin de cette étude, nous avons essayé de donner quelques propositions didactiques pour un meilleur enseignement de l'expression orale. Küreselleşme ve Avrupa Konseyi'nin yabancı dilde sözlü iletişimin artırılmasına yönelik çalışmaları, yabancı dil öğretiminde bu boyutu önemli kılmaya başladı. Bununla bağıntılı olarak yabancı dil öğretiminde sözlü ifade becerisini geliştirmeye yönelik çalışmalara hız verildiği görülmektedir. Ancak öğrencilerin en çok öğrenmekte ve geliştirmekte güçlük çektikleri alan ise yine sözlü ifade becerisidir. Bu çalışmada öğrencilerin söz konusu becerinin öneminin bilincinde olup olmadıklarını, bu dersle ilgili önerileri bulunup bulunmadığını ve yabancı dilde kendilerini ifade ederken en çok karşılaştıkları sorunları tespit etmeye çalıştık. Konuyla ilgili uygulamalı bir araştırma yaptık. Araştırmayı bir üniversitenin Fransızca öğretmenliği hazırlık sınıfında okuyan 40 öğrenci ile sürdürdük. Metin çözümleme yöntemi ile öğrencilerin ses kayıtlarını yazıya döktük. Verilen cevapların bir sınıflandırmasını yaptık ve öğrencilerin derslerde daha sık konuşma aktiviteleri yapmak istediklerini, hocaların kendilerine derslerde daha fazla söz hakkı vermelerini arzuladıklarını ve sözlü ifade becerisini geliştirmeye yönelik daha etkin etkinliklerle derslerin sürdürülmesini istediklerini tespit ettik. Öğrenciler sözlü ifade becerilerinin gelişimini en çok olumsuz etkileyen faktörler olarak hata yapma korkusu, özgüvenlerinin olmayışı ve sözcük eksikliği şeklinde ifade etmişlerdir. Daha önce yabancı dil öğretiminde olumsuzluk olarak kabul edilen hata, günümüzde öğretmenlerin de göz önünde bulundurması gereken, öğretimin iyileştirilmesi adına olumlu bir kaynak olarak görülmesi gerektiğini de vurgulamaya çalıştık. Bu çalışmanın sonunda sözlü ifade becerisinin daha etkili bir şekilde öğretilmesine yönelik bazı önerilerde bulunduk. |
