Sumario:The article presents information on using critical realism for modifying the framework of Integral Methodological Pluralism (IMP). The framework is aimed at interdisciplinary ecological research, which addresses the human and natural components of ecosystems. The author states that forming a single four-quadrant framework by overlaying the interior and exterior perspectives fails in retaining a distinction between subject and object.
