Sumario:The article considers the role that computing techniques play in sustaining cultural practices. Topics discussed include the Artist's View iPad application designed by Netribe of the Palazzo Strozzi in Florence, Italy as an example of how culture might be preserved, the dependence of cultural practices on digital infrastructures with hardware and software that could wear out beyond limitations of codification, and how scanning should be utilized when establishing a book's provenance depends on the edition of a volume.
