Little work has examined how iPod usage is associated with individuals, despite iPod ubiquity with other electronic devices. All four of the subscales of the SPTMDS were significantly and positively correlated with the four subscales of the iPod dependence scale. Similarly, all four iPod dependence subscales correlated positively with a measure of depression, state anxiety, and trait anxiety. Age was negatively correlated with iPod and texting dependence.
