This creates in them tolerance and understanding which provides them happiness, peace, and contentment. The blissful reward elevates their character and helps them live a satisfied life. Only those go through a process of self-realization that are ready to adjust with the changing times. Those who become aware of their failings also learn how to overcome them to live a harmonious life. In Pride and Prejudice Darcy and Elizabeth change positively and manage to elevate socially, intellectually and morally.
