Sumario:	A literary criticism is presented on several works by 20th century Caribbean authors, including the short story "Drive Me Until I Sweat” by Cyril Dabydeen, the book "In the Castle of My Skin," by George Lamming and the book "On the Eve of Uncertain Tomorrows," by Neil Bissoondath. Particular focus is given to the depiction of the experiences of Caribbean immigrants in North America, including in regard to the American Dream.
