Sumario:HarperCollins (HC) has appointed Susan Winton as the rights director for its children's books division. Winton will join HC after 15 years at Penguin imprint Frederick Warne, where she handled properties including Spot, Peter Rabbit and Flower Fairies. She will join HC in September 2003. Winton will help children's division of HC to develop its properties, which include the Chronicles of Narnia and Paddington Bear among many others. She will report to HC children's managing director Sally Gritten, who said the publisher would benefit from Winton's experience in both rights and publishing.
