This is because owing to international pressure the Bill did not make it far in the process of enactment. And recognizing the fact that Uganda as a country was nowhere near accepting the homosexual lifestyle as a part of life, there was a need to come up with new human rights friendly strategies to combat homosexuality. The research was carried out in Kampala city center and in Mukono Town Council where the most heated of the pro-V-anti homosexual debates were. The results showed that methods such as early education against homosexuality among children and reparative therapy, faith-based counseling and rehabilitation were better alternatives to criminalizing homosexuality.
