En tal sentido, el trabajo analiza las principales construcciones historiográficas, poniendo especial énfasis en los componentes de la versión liberal mexicana. En un segundo tiempo se interroga sobre las formas de entender su dimensión internacional, poniendo de relieve el lugar secundario de las repúblicas hispanoamericanas. A partir de esta crítica, pretende finalmente poner de relieve las formas en que la cuestión mexicana fue percibida en el mundo hispanoamericano, proponiendo algunas reflexiones sobre las implicaciones metodológicas de esta perspectiva.
ABSTRACT
Mexico’s intervention and the imperial plan that followed, served from its early years as a way of forging various discourses of political struggle in order to attempt justifying interventions or defending the republic. As such, this paper analyses the main historiographical works, with special emphasis on the components of the Mexican liberal version. Subsequently, it questions the understanding of the international dimension, highlighting the secondary place of Latin American republics. Based on that analysis, it seeks to highlight the ways in which the idea of Mexico was perceived in the Hispanic world, proposing some reflections on the methodological implications of this perspective. |
