Based on the results, its implications are analyzed with other studies carried out in the demarcation. |

El objetivo del presente trabajo fue comparar la situación hídrica reportada en la literatura con notas de prensa sobre la problemática. Se realizó un estudio con periódicos de circulación nacional publicados de 2019 a 2021. Se analizaron las categorías de la calidad del servicio en una demarcación del centro de México. Se construyó el Inventario del Encuadre del Servicio Hídrico (IESH) para comparar la difusión de los medios con la revisión de la literatura, alcanzando un valor de 102 puntos de un total de 180. Este hallazgo se consideró como evidencia de una moderada cobertura mediática de la prensa sobre los problemas derivados de la escasez de agua. A partir de los resultados se analizan sus implicaciones con otros estudios realizados en la demarcación.
