| Sumario: | The following research had the objective of analyzing the concordances between the private sector and the local government in relation to the fiftieth anniversary of the commune of Puente Alto. Through a focus on social and urban history, it studies this commemoration where the Socialist Party had already been at the head of the municipality for a decade, demonstrating a cohesion with industrialists and landowners of the commune, tarnished in a progressive vision of local industrial development, regardless of the differences between these actors and reflecting pride and identity strongly linked to the production of paper, fabrics and agriculture.
