Este artículo recorre el ciclo de politización y movilización estudiantil dentro de la Universidad Católica de Chile que transcurre entre los años 1947 y 1950, en un escenario previamente refractario a la actividad contenciosa y la discusión política explícita. Por medio de un recorrido cronológico expositivo y analítico basado en fuentes contemporáneas, tanto primarias como secundarias, se da cuenta de los acontecimientos clave en el desarrollo de un escenario de conflicto político y cultural a nivel universitario, configurando un movimiento estudiantil que alcanza grados de autonomía y reconocimiento público inusitados para la época.
