| Sumario: | Complex and acute health alterations are evident in clinical patient care and often challenge nursing students. The researcher developed an on-line clinical postconference pilot study. The study evaluated the ability of clinical scenarios and guided discussion to foster deep learning among associate degree nursing students. Students offered positive feedback about the postconferences, and they were an effective teaching/learning strategy. This article describes the problem of fostering complex thinking, the implementation of the postconference, and results of a group survey and offers implications for practice to utilize this new approach to facilitate learning beyond the clinical day. |
