| Summary: | Screen savers in use today typically have a variety of built-in settings that allow the user to select what the screen saver will display, how the pictures displayed will look, how often the pictures will change, and the period of time that the computer is idle before the screen saver initiates. By manipulating these functions, we were able to put together a screen saver education package. This article will describe the use of screen savers as an educational tool in the education of intensive care nurses. The article will also describe the theoretical underpinnings of such an approach. |
