| Sumario: | There are many functions in an integrated delivery system charged with focused, clinical excellence and process improvement based on data. Information system complexity, enhanced technology and software, and increased demand for data have created the need for one healthcare organization to look at an alternative system for data support of these key functions. This article describes a clinical data department model that has been implemented successfully in an integrated delivery system.
