| Sumario: | A problem commonly experienced by qualitative researchers is 'being snowed under with data'. This impression is further complicated by the data analysis process. The issue is particularly challenging in grounded theory due to the complex way in which data are analysed and the non-linear approach that is required. The purpose of this paper is to describe the use of NUDIST, Winflow, and a word-processing computer software package combined with a structured strategy to enhance the research process within the novice researcher-supervisor context. Doing qualitative research can be a juggling act that is very demanding. Using this structured approach provides some clarity for both research supervisors and novice researchers and helps progress toward the theory development stage. |
