| Sumario: | As members of interdisciplinary teams in school districts and medical facilities, pediatric occupational and physical therapists often evaluate perceptual development in children. Several norm-referenced standardized tests are available to assess visual perceptual and visual motor skills, but few resources summarize the measurement properties of these tools. The purpose of this paper is to provide psychometric reviews of seven norm-referenced standardized tests of visual perception and visual motor integration commonly used by pediatric therapists. Each assessment tool is critically appraised for its purpose, clinical utility, test construction, standardization, reliability and validity. Discussion focuses upon the usefulness of these assessment tools for describing, evaluating, and predicting visual perceptual functioning in children to assist therapists in selecting appropriate measures for their clinical practices.
