Bu makalede Modern Türk Şiiri’nin en önemli iki figürü olan Orhan Veli ile Komünist şair Nâzım Hikmet’in eserlerinde tasavvufî motiflerin sürekliliği araştırılmaktadır. İnançsız figürler olmalarına karşın, her iki yazarın da eserlerinde içedönüklük, bellek, hüzün, uyanış (epiphany), dikkat gibi ruhanî yansımaları olan kavramlar serisinin var olduğu açığa çıkmaktadır.
