        The aim of this study was to examine the mediator role of problematic internet use in the relationship between university students' loneliness and psychological well-being. The sample of the study consisted of a total of 488 undergraduate students. The data collected through "UCLA Loneliness Scale" and "Scales of Psychological Well Being" and "Problematıc Internet Use Scale". In the Analysis of the data, Pearson Corelation Analysis were conducted. Multiple regression analysis and sobel test were applied to examine the mediator role of problematic internet use. The results of the study showed a significant positive correlation between loneliness and problematic internet use and a significant negative correlation between loneliness and psychological well being. Also there was a significant negative correlation between problematic internet use and psychological well being. According to findings of the research, the problematic internet use has a partial mediating role between loneliness and psychological well-being.
        Bu araştırmada, üniversite öğrencilerinin yalnızlık ve psikolojik iyi oluş düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkide problemli internet kullanımının aracı rolünü incelemek amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini 488 lisans öğrencisi oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama aracı olarak "UCLA Yalnızlık Ölçeği", "Psikolojik İyi Olma Ölçekleri" ile "Problemli İnternet Kullanım Ölçeği" kullanılmıştır. Verilerin analizinde "Pearson Korelasyon Analizi", aracılık etkisini belirlemek amacıyla "çoklu regresyon yöntemi" ve aracılık etkisinin anlamlılığını incelemek için "sobel testi" kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada yalnızlık ile problemli internet kulanımı arasında pozitif yönlü; yalnızlık ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı ilişki olduğu gözlenmiştir. Ayrıca problemli internet kullanımı ile psikolojik iyi oluş arasında negatif yönlü anlamlı bir ilişki mevcuttur. Araştırmadan elde edilen bir diğer bulgu ise; yalnızlık ve psikolojik iyi oluş arasındaki ilişkide problemli internet kullanımının kısmi aracılık rolüne sahip olduğu bulgusudur.
