Kimberla Lawson Roby says authors must research the publishing industry and read The Self-Publishing Manual by Dan Poynter before they self-publish. Parry Brown suggests that authors must be consumed with commitment. They must sell books as if their contract depends on it, because it does. Travis Hunter adds that authors should write what is true to their heart.
