Leadership and school management have as their main objective, to contribute in a transcendent way to the achievement of educational objectives to achieve the quality and effectiveness of schools through the use of resources and decision making, quality in processes and adequate exercise of leadership by academic directors, teachers, students and, where appropriate, parents, as this contributes to improving not only the pedagogical, but also administrative and social areas. Actualmente el tema de liderazgo y gestión educativa es objeto de un sin número de definiciones y estudios, sin embargo, es de suma importancia conocer si estos dos conceptos realmente se relacionan entre sí como se ha declarado vehementemente en diversas publicaciones y bajo la premisa de que sin ambos, una institución educativa no es capaz de cumplir con sus objetivos ni metas establecidas en el aspecto, académico, económico y organizacional, se desglosan distintos argumentos que refuerzan este concepto.
