| Summary: | Reposianus, a poet most likely rooted in late antique Carthage, wrote a poem in 182 hexameters (transmitted in Codex Salmasianus) on the intrigue between Mars nad Venus. The myth was well-known in the antiquity, but Reposianus gave the episode a moralizing turn and narrated the story in an original way. Reposianus' epyllion has never been translated into Polish not interpreter in detail in any Polish publication, that is why I present, besides the translation, an analysis and a short commentary as well. I give likewise a brief introduction, where I summarize current state of research on Reposianus.
