This treaty based on the Thomistic doctrine and biblical images has been listed between the literary masterpiece in medieval prose. En este artículo se presenta la traducción de un pequeño tratado catequético de Jan van Ruusbroec, que recoge y sintetiza los fundamentos doctrinales desarrollados en el resto de su obra, en su mayoría acerca de la vida ascética y mística en el s. XIV. Este tratado, fundamentado en la doctrina tomista y con expresivas imágenes bíblicas, ha sido catalogado una obra literaria maestra en la prosa medieval. |
