| Sumario: | Peter Scherhaufer was an important director, playwright, translator, theoretician and teacher. He was a very proliferous director (mainly in Theatre /Goose/ On a String in Brno). Furthermore, he was a teacher, vice-dean and vice-chancellor at JAMU in 1990s. A prominent proof attesting to this feature is his study Theatre On a String - 1970 Model (Divadlo na provázku - model 1970) where he suggests organizational adjustments of theatre running with charming irony and technical excellence. He followed in theoretic work in articles and textbooks A Dummy in a sewer (Paňáca v kanále), The chapters of direction (Kapitolky z režie) or The staging in irregular space (Inscenování v nepravidelném prostoru). The Stage Direction History Reader (Čítanka divadelnej režie) was the result of his teaching inspiration and confirmation of how enormously well-read and active he was. Unfortunately, the project remained unfinished.
