| Sumario: | Evidence-based practice challenges occupational therapists to deliver services in ways that are trustworthy and effective. Research evidence is an important component of evidence-based practice. Similarly, evidence arising from the practitioner's clinical experience, client preferences, and evidence from the practice context is equally important yet this type of evidence is often given limited consideration with little to guide therapists in critically appraising their clinical practice experiences. Strategies to undertake such an evaluation must be developed if clinicians are to be confidently guided by their own experiences when designing services for clients. |
