Children with LD are at risk of developing behavior problems. Effective intervention with the children's parents must be based on knowledge of the interplay of contributing cognitive and experiential factors. This knowledge allow therapists and parents to develop informed empathy in relation to the children's experience and to implement effective management strategies.
