Sumario:This article focuses on the association of the writer with publisher James Laughlin. The author has written that he has corresponded with Laughlin for more than several years before he met him. It was in August, 1995 that the author found his "Collected Poems," in the University of New Mexico student book store. In earlier years he had sent him several of the small books of poems which are now included in the large volume. Their association began as one between author and publisher. By 1948, the author had collected the nucleus of what was to become an anthology of Latin poetry in verse translation and wrote Dryden Press about it.
