The Equality Plan in fore at the University of Granada, Spain is taken as a reference. It is possible to design a Gender Equality Policy around co-responsibility and female representation in the teaching staff of the University of Pinar del Río (2022-2026). As a novel result, the Gender Observatory stands out, as well as the communicational and educational edges that are promoted to achieve greater representation of women in the university context. Este artículo1 tiene como objetivo fundamentar una Política de género para la Universidad de Pinar del Río desde la perspectiva de la equidad, a partir de referentes teóricos, prácticos y metodológicos de otras Instituciones de Educación Superior (IES). Se toma como referencia el Plan de Igualdad vigente en la Universidad de Granada, España. Se logra diseñar una Política de igualdad de género en torno a la corresponsabilidad y representatividad femenina en el profesorado de la Universidad de Pinar del Río (2022-2026).
