Aim: To evaluate compliance of nurses regarding standard precautions of infection control. Method: Descriptive cross-sectional hospital-based study was conducted at ELdaein teaching hospital. The sample consisted of 60 nurses. Data was collected though observational checklist. Result: nurses' compliance with standard precautions of infection control was good Mean ± SD (2.92, 0.512). Conclusion: The nurses had a good level of compliance with standard precautions of infection control while most of nurseswere not compliance with washinghands before wears gloves, wear masks and protective eye patch or goggle when performing operations/procedures that might induce spraying of blood, body fluid, secretions, and excretions due to lack of personal protective equipment.
