Another striking instance of what Goodall calls the composer's I sau'sabdya i - and of Goodall's perspicacity in spotting it - is the form I atirajñam i (rather than * I atirajanam i ) "of outstanding kings" (p. 169, n. 270). Thus Goodall's new edition and translation is actually only the second one that has been attempted in the nearly one hundred years since Finot's I editio princeps i . |
