| Sumario: | The writer Carmen Berenguer published her first book, "Bobby Sands Faints on the Wall," in 1983, during the military dictatorship in Chile. This poetry collection pays tribute to an Irish prisoner who died on a hunger strike and breaks with the impositions and norms of political poetry of the time. In 1986, Berenguer published "Traces of a Century," a more experimental and transitional work that shows her poetic evolution and diverse interests. Her poetry stands out for its focus on themes such as the body, desire, physical violence, and the act of writing, as well as her inclination towards dissent and marginality. The city is also present in her work, and Berenguer constantly renews her expression of a personal and collective history. La escritora Carmen Berenguer publicó su primer libro, "Bobby Sands desfallece en el muro", en 1983, durante la dictadura militar en Chile. Este poemario homenajea a un prisionero irlandés que murió en huelga de hambre y rompe con las imposiciones y normas de la poesía política de la época. En 1986, Berenguer publicó "Huellas de Siglo", una obra más experimental y de transición que muestra su evolución poética y sus diversos intereses.
