In 1986, Berenguer published "Traces of a Century," a more experimental and transitional work that shows her poetic evolution and diverse interests. Her poetry stands out for its focus on themes such as the body, desire, physical violence, and the act of writing, as well as her inclination towards dissent and marginality. The city is also present in her work, and Berenguer constantly renews her expression of a personal and collective history.
