Description
Summary:This article presents news briefs related to the book industry in several countries. Hachette Livre, parent company of British publishers including Orion and Headline, plans to sell its legal publisher Editions Dalloz to Editions Lefebvre Sarrut. Hachette is selling the legal publishing house because it does not mesh with its core business of literature and school text books. BBC Books has confirmed its first-ever Russian co-edition, with Delia Smith's "Delia's Vegetarian Collection." BBC Books said that the deal, with Russian publisher Cookbooks, should be followed with a Russian edition of "The Delia Collection: Chicken." Prominent Dutch publisher Oscar van Gelderen has left Vassallucci, the company he founded 10 years ago, to start a new imprint under the roof of DVD and CD publisher FMG.
