The arena, designed by AECOM and engineer Walter P Moore, features a seismically isolated, structural-steel diagrid frame covered in ETFE and PTFE panels to protect against rain and direct sun exposure while allowing for fresh air. The 18,000-seat arena is fully electrified and aims to be operationally carbon-neutral from its opening in October, thanks to solar panels and battery storage. The arena also includes a three-acre outdoor space called the Intuit Dome Plaza with basketball courts and a screening area.
