It is indicated that disinformation is a great challenge for the entire human community. An understanding of the types of disinformation, algorithms for state and individual countermeasures against disinformation are formulated. Directions for developing a strategy to combat disinformation and the experience of democratic countries, which can be useful for Ukraine, are indicated. Attention is drawn to the expediency and necessity of forming the psychological stability of the population.
