| Sumario: | Translations have always played an essential role in the development of culture and science, facilitating the reciprocal understanding between people and the free circulation of ideas. From the translation of religious and philosophical texts during the Antiquity to the modern global world that connects people through almost inimaginable means of communication, translations have profoundly changed the very history of humanity. However, they represent more than a linguistic process; they are a cultural product that endeavours to bridge the gaps between different worlds. Thus, the cultural aspects of translation become critical in ensuring that the translated text resonates witht the target audience, while preserving the essence of the original content. This paper attempts to explore the cultural aspects of translation including challenges, strategies for addressing cultural nuances and the role of translators as cultural mediators. Les traductions ont toujours joué un rôle essentiel dans le développement de la culture et de la science, en facilitant la compréhension réciproque entre les peuples et la libre circulation des idées. De la traduction des textes religieux et philosophiques dans l'Antiquité au monde globalisé moderne qui relie les individus par des moyens de communication Presque inimaginables, les traductions ont profondément transformé l'histoire même de l'humanité. De la traducerea textelor religioase și filosofice în Antichitate până la lumea globalizată modernă care conectează oamenii prin mijloace de comunicare aproape inimaginabile, traducerile au schimbat profund însăși istoria umanității. Totuși, ele reprezintă mai mult decât un proces lingvistic, fiind mai degrabă un produs cultural care încearcă să reducă distanțele dintre lumi diferite. Astfel, aspectele culturale ale traducerii devin cruciale pentru a asigura faptul că textul tradus rezonează cu publicul-țintă, păstrând în același timp esența conținutului original.
