The participants of the study consisted of 12 teachers. Data were collected using a semi-structured interview technique. Content analysis was used in the analysis of data. The findings were grouped under three themes: inappropriate aspects of the program, weekly class hours of the program, and superior aspects of the program. The aspects of the program that were not found appropriate were explained under the difficulties in the IEP preparation process and the difficulties in the implementation process. While some teachers find the weekly lesson hours sufficient, others find the need for individual training and frequent repetition, the inadequacy of the topics covered, and the weekly lessons insufficient. The superior aspects of the program are described as flexible, functional, and supportive of participation in society. Its support for participation in society is explained with its current, important and useful situations. The study findings also reflect the necessity and needs of supporting teachers with new methods, practical activities and effective application examples regarding the teaching of newly added objectives. Programların etkililiğini artırmak için programın içeriği, süresi ve değerlendirme süreçlerine ilişkin öğretmen geri bildirimleri dikkate alınmalıdır. Bu araştırmada özel eğitim meslek okulu akademik programına ilişkin özel eğitim öğretmenlerinin görüşleri belirlenmiştir. Çalışma nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden durum çalışması ile desenlenmiştir. Çalışmaya 12 öğretmen katılmıştır. Veriler yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde içerik analizi kullanılmıştır. Bulgular, programın uygun bulunmayan yönleri, programın haftalık ders saatleri ve programın üstün yönleri olmak üzere üç tema altında toplanmıştır. Programın uygun bulunmayan yönleri BEP hazırlama sürecindeki zorluklar ve uygulama sürecindeki zorluklar altında açıklanmıştır. BEP hazırlama sürecindeki zorluklar; program içeriğinde temel hedeflerin eksik olması, öğrenci hazırbulunuşluğuyla uyumsuz hedefler bulunması, işlevsel bulunmayan bazı hedeflerin yer alması ve öğretmenlerin bilgi eksikliği durumlarıyla açıklanmıştır. Uygulama sürecinde ise resmi izinler, güvenlik, maliyet gibi zorluklar ortaya çıkmıştır. Haftalık ders saatleri, öğretmenlerin bazıları tarafından yeterli bulunurken bazıları tarafından bireysel eğitim ihtiyacı, sık tekrar ihtiyacı, konuların yetişmemesi gibi nedenlerden dolayı yetersiz bulunmuştur. Öğremenler, programın esnek, işlevsel, güncel ve topluma katılımı destekleyici olma özelliklerini programın üstün yönleri olarak değerlendirmişlerdir.
