Sumario:The article focuses on the assessment of limb differences in lower extremity loading during gait and hopping in individuals who have undergone anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, specifically at 9 and 18 months post-surgery. The study involved 27 participants and utilized 3D motion capture and force plates to measure peak knee extension moments (pKEM) and peak vertical ground reaction forces (vGRF). Results indicated that knee underloading persisted during hopping tasks, with significant differences in pKEM observed between single leg hops and triple hops compared to gait at both time points. The findings suggest that task difficulty influences loading patterns after ACL reconstruction, highlighting the importance of evaluating various tasks as individuals return to sports.
