However, many spurious texts exist, and the question of the authenticity of ʿAṭṭār's texts remains controversial to this day. To address the challenges associated with verifying the authenticity of Persian Sufi poetry, this study proposes a statistical and objective analytical approach. This approach combines frequency, principal component, and hierarchical cluster analyses to quantitatively visualize the differences between authentic and spurious texts. This method allows authenticity judgements based on objective numerical evidence. The effectiveness of this methodology is demonstrated through its application to ʿAṭṭār's poetry collection, with clear distinctions between authentic and spurious texts confirmed both visually and quantitatively.
