The research has made it possible to better understand the depth and richness of Alfieri's educational and professional background, which fully explains the assignment of such a significant commission: the design of the most important theater in 18th-century Turin. The study also highlights the formative and professional influence of a military engineer, Giuseppe Ludovico Nicolis di Robilant, on Alfieri. Robilant was responsible for the theatre's technological aspects - optics and acoustics - which complemented Alfieri's compositional design for the Reggio Teatro. As the gathered documentation demonstrates, the two professionals perfectly complemented each other in their work, each contributing with their expertise. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: Italian refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of Studi Piemontesi is the property of Centro Studi Piemontesi and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
