| Sumario: | This essay traces the origins of the first theater regulations enacted in the Viceroyalty of River Plate in 1783. After establishing the historical context in which this regulatory framework emerged, this essay centers on the provisions that regulated dramatic censorship in the text of these regulations approved in Buenos Aires and in those governing the activity of the public theatres in Madrid during the same period. This comparative analysis allows us to highlight the points of convergence and divergence that existed between both regulations regarding the administration of the preventive censorship within the framework of the Enlightenment. Este estudio rastrea los orígenes del primer reglamento teatral promulgado en el virreinato del Río de la Plata en 1783. Una vez planteado el contexto en el que surge este marco normativo, este trabajo examina las disposiciones que establecían la reglamentación de la censura dramática tanto en el texto de este primer reglamento emitido en Buenos Aires como en el que legislaba la actividad de los teatros públicos de Madrid durante la misma época. El análisis en clave comparada nos permite destacar los puntos de convergencia y divergencia que existieron entre ambas normativas en relación con la administración de la censura preventiva dentro del marco de la Ilustración. |
