It analyzes their trajectories in the context of the Byzantine Empire, highlighting their meteoric rise and the imperial titles both achieved, such as that of cèsar. Through the comparison of their exploits, the author also examines how Martorell was inspired by the Crònica de Ramon Muntaner to construct his narrative, revealing the influence of history on medieval literature. The work concludes that the connections between both characters are not coincidental, but rather the result of a conscious process of literary adaptation. La lectura d'aquest tractat permet de constatar que les observacions de Muntaner a propòsit de l'etiqueta imperial bizantina són en bona part acurades. pubtype: Academic Journal doctype: Article src: R language: Catalan refInfo: copyright: @attributes: flag: Y custom: Copyright of Scripta is the property of Scripta and its content may not be copied or emailed to multiple sites without the copyright holder's express written permission.
