| Sumario: | Mandatory peer review of manuscripts has become an inevitable policy. The peer review process is advancing with the use of Internet technology tools. This study investigated the experience of African health Librarians (AHLs) about peer review policy and the use of technology for the review process. The quantitative analysis carried out confirmed immense contributions of Internet technology, as respondents affirmed that it facilitates interactive digital communication ($\bar x$ x ˉ = 33.3). AHLs objected to reviewers/editors' choice of words as sometimes being derogatory and devastating ($\bar x$ x ˉ = 3.04); however, the majority neither see the process as negatively affecting their intellectual innovations ($\bar x$ x ˉ = 2.42) nor see it as a threat to research productivity ($\bar x$ x ˉ = 2.31). |
