| Summary: | This article reports that since the demise of Penguin's fledgling television division last year, book publishers have been wary of stepping into production. But Random House Inc. and HarperCollins Publishers Ltd. has recently abandoned caution with serious investments in transatlantic television and film ventures. Then Random House went one better, embarking on a 50/50 creative and strategic partnership with film production company Focus Features. |
