This research uses HBO's show Euphoria (2019–) as an example of possibilities beyond representation, grounded in the material conditions of being trans+. Utilizing a critical media industries framework as my dominant methodology, I center a nonhierarchical knowledge structure, valuing personal experience alongside traditional theory. These shifts in value sets make it possible for care to enter in at both the level of analysis and the level of reception.
