| Sumario: | This article presents the study to determine the status of developmental reading improvement programs in military, government and business agencies. The results show that reading proficient improved in all but a few individual cases. The are overall mean increase in reading speed was approximately forty-one percent, comprehension eight percent and vocabulary eleven per cent. There was general agreement among the supervisors of the reading program graduates that the work performance of these graduates improved as a result of their training. Supervisors also found out that the reading habits of graduates improved. |
