The results show that reading proficient improved in all but a few individual cases. The are overall mean increase in reading speed was approximately forty-one percent, comprehension eight percent and vocabulary eleven per cent. There was general agreement among the supervisors of the reading program graduates that the work performance of these graduates improved as a result of their training.
